The aim of Healthy Eating is to ensure children eat a healthy, well-
Healthy Lunch Options -
We encourage children to choose from the following foods regularly -
Cheese, lean meat, eggs, fish, peanut butter, salad
Treat Foods -
We recommend foods such as -
Yoghurt or yoghurt drinks
We discourage the 4Cs -
Teachers will continue to give children a sweet treat on occasions in recognition of work done, improvements in work or behaviour. Sweet treats used prudently by teachers will not interfere with the health of the children.
As part of the SPHE Curriculum learning about food and nutrition is encouraged -
A healthy school environment is also encouraged e.g. posters on display, cooperating with the Green School Working Group i.e. recycling, composting etc.

We will also have a Healthy Week at certain times throughout the year.
