After Combing High and Low for Ideas, School Pals Get at Mad Hair Day
Wigs, dye and hair gel were in high demand at Canovee School National School when a fundraiser for Our Lady's Hospital for Sick Children took place.
The Mad Hair Day raised more than €2,000, as part of a fundraiser by pupil Ian Flynn and his family. Ian, aged 13, is in sixth class. His mother Patricia said the hospital saved his life four years ago when he suffered septicaemia. Ian, a wheelchair user, has spina bifida.
