Canovee National School

Canovee National School first opened its doors to the children of Canovee over 150 years ago. Much growth and development has taken place since the early years and we are justly proud of our current school building, which can cater for the needs of our 172 pupils.

To ensure the all-round development of each pupil, great care is taken to provide pupils with the best learning environment possible. The school’s facilities are kept up-to-date and teaching methods are in accordance with current best practice.

Canovee National School is fortunate in having a dedicated and highly experienced staff, a supportive and committed Board of Management and an enthusiastic Parents’ Association.

Our uniform consists of a navy jumper, light blue shirt, navy tie and navy trousers for boys, navy pinafore for girls.

Pupils wear their school tracksuit on PE days. The tracksuit consists of a navy tracksuit bottoms, navy sweatshirt and light blue polo shirt.

In the summer term pupils may wear navy shorts with their polo shirt.
